Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our internal medicine practice in Elizabeth, New Jersey, for a position working 2 or 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role involves both clinical care and administrative responsibilities to support a busy and diverse patient population. Spanish fluency is required.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited program

  • Current and valid PA license in the state of New Jersey

  • Board certification by the NCCPA

  • 2 years of experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred

  • Strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based decision-making

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Spanish fluency is a must

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Prescribe medications and order appropriate diagnostic tests

  • Interpret lab and imaging results and adjust care plans accordingly

  • Provide education and counseling on disease prevention, health maintenance, and lifestyle modifications

  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and care team to coordinate patient care

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR

  • Participate in quality assurance and clinical improvement initiatives

  • Refer patients to specialists when conditions exceed scope of practice

  • Advise patients about potential medication side effects and interactions

  • Stay current with clinical guidelines and continuing education

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and prorated according to days worked. Salary range is based on on FTE.
